Osmosis was recently awarded European Responsible Investment Manager of the Year at the Funds Europe Awards*. With a record number of entries to the awards this year, judges singled out Osmosis “for tackling the most challenging issues head on”.
Osmosis’ commitment to being a responsible manager began in 2009 with a focus on three levels of impact: better risk-adjusted returns, measurable environmental reductions and an active engagement programme to promote better corporate environmental disclosure. Osmosis believes that to drive the structural shift in the economy required for a sustainable transition, asset managers must deliver their investment solutions cost-effectively and transparently.
Our portfolios place corporate Resource Efficiency at their core, and active ownership is fully integrated into our investment process. Osmosis was part of an early practitioners’ group on the EU Taxonomy with the UN PRI (United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment), serving as an unofficial try-out of the proposed EU regulation on sustainable investment and part of GRI’s (Global Reporting Initiative) technical expert group on waste, developing a new reporting standard for corporates. Osmosis’ signatory status to the UK Stewardship Code was renewed again this year by the Financial Reporting Council following the release of our Stewardship Report.
The Fund Europe awards acknowledge company contributions within the European funds community and are assessed by a panel of judges from the European industry. The news follows Osmosis’ recent win at the Environmental Finance awards earlier this year**.
