Quantitative Research Director

As head of Osmosis’ quantitative research, Tom leads the team’s research efforts focused on model improvements and alpha opportunities within sustainability data. His work bridges the research and investment functions, demonstrating the connection between Resource Efficiency and stock returns across global markets and the uncorrelated nature of the factor to traditional market patterns. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Geneva Finance Research Institute, studying responsible investment strategies and ESG impacts on portfolios. Tom’s research appears in academic journals.

Tom holds a Ph.D. in Financial Market Microstructure, an M.Sc. in Carbon Finance from the University of Edinburgh, and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim.
